Continuing with our Wednesday assembly theme of ‘Our Planet’, today we welcomed Amy from OASES (Outdoor and Sustainability Education Specialists) into our school to speak to us about ways of saving energy, in our daily lives. Amy spoke to us about climate control and the effect that it is having on the melting ice, in the polar regions of the world and its wildlife.
Amy gave us some excellent advice about the things that we could be doing daily, to help save energy. The children made a promise to switch off lights when they are not required, both at home and in school and also to switch the plugs off on electronic devices whilst they are not being used.
This term, we will continue to explore our planet and ways that we can help it!
