Helping to save our world!

Continuing with our Wednesday assembly theme of ‘Our Planet’, today we welcomed Amy from OASES (Outdoor and Sustainability Education Specialists) into our school to speak to us about ways of saving energy, in our daily lives. Amy spoke to us about climate control and the effect that it is having on the melting ice, in the polar regions of the world and its wildlife.

Talent Show 2019

Pupils and Staff were treated to an afternoon of Talent from members of the Junior Department on Thursday 4th April. Trophies were up for grabs in 3 categories – Singing, Dancing and Entertainment. Judges had a really hard job to find Bronze, Silver and Gold places in each of the categories. Pictured are the winners. More pictures are on the Y6 Gallery. 

Easter Egg Hunt 2019

A fabulous morning was had by the whole school! The children hunted in teams, to find hidden eggs, all around the outside of the school. They showed excellent team work and co-operation, solving clues and having lots of fun! 

Y5 Visit Durham University

          On Thursday 14th March, Y5 went to visit the extremely impressive Physics Department based at the Ogden Centre West in Durham. Hallowe’en Themed Lunch

Our Super Star Kitchen Staff made a ‘Super Spooky’ effort today to make sure the pupils enjoyed a Hallowe’en Feast to be proud of! On offer was : Wormy Spaghetti, Witches’ Fingers or Cauldron Burger alongside Full Moon Potatoes, Bat Breath Garlic Bread and a dessert of Ghost/Bat Biscuits, Sponge and Green Slime Sauce and a range of super-looking fruit and vegetables; which included Carrot

Key Stage One Harvest Festival

A huge thank you to everybody who came and watched our Harvest  Festival celebration on Tuesday morning. The children looked amazing, spoke with confidence and their singing was brilliant. The food donations were as generous as ever and will make a real difference to people living in our community. 

Happy 193rd Birthday to the Stockton & Darlington Railway!

At the end of the Summer Term 2018 the boys and girls in Key Stage One took up the challenge to create some A1 sized posters to celebrate the 193rd birthday of the Darlington & Stockton Railway. Our posters are on display right now at The Head of Steam – Darlington Railway Museum.  We are very proud to part of such an amazing event.

Welcome … either to our school or back…

I am so delighted to see our lovely pupils back at school. The Summer Holidays are just so long. A really warm welcome to our new Reception pupils – who have spent just a couple of days with us so far and they are SUPER! The school looks amazing and everyone is so excited for the new term ahead.
