Welcome back to school everyone after what we hope has been a very happy holiday. The pupils have been full of the joys of Christmas and it’s lovely to see. We have been encouraging them to try really hard with all their learning as they start a new year. I am sure 2013 will be a great year for Byerley Park! Mrs Gargan
On Friday 14th December, the whole school enjoyed a fabulous production of Aladdin, performed by Fame Factory Spotlight. We were entertained for nearly 2 full hours with a great traditional panto storyline, jokes and of course, lots of ‘Oh no he isn’t’!! Look out for photos coming soon!
This production has been a real ‘hit’ with parents and pupils! We have had a great time rehearsing songs and dances! Photos are availble for parents to buy and we have made a DVD too! Get a copy from the School Office while stocks last!

The school are absolutely delighted to have been awarded the Basic Skillls Quality Mark for the third time! This award is a recognition of all the hard work we do in promoting the basic skills of Maths and English. A copy of some of the report can be viewed below. Evaluation and renewal
On the 18th of June Byerley Park had a fantastic treat. A group of people called ‘The Lions of Zululand’ paid a visit to the school. Our wonderful PTA have done it again. They came up with a fabulous idea to raise money for one of their charities, the NSPCC. They decided to have a coin trail to raise some funds. Here it is! This the fantastic sculpture that Year 3 have produced in our Art module. It looks great hanging in our classroom. I am pleased with the way it has turned out and the children love it.
