Mini Beasts Visit

  Zoolab visited school today and brought some wonderful mini beasts with them. Rob, the Zoolab ranger, visited all the year groups in school and the children had the chance to hold some of the animals and ask questions about them. World Book Day

Today is World Book Day. The Key Stage 2 staff got into the spirit with a themed dress up. They chose Alice in Wonderland and dressed as a character from the book. 


Y5 Trip to Hancock Museum

Mrs Pattison has just booked ANOTHER FREE TRIP for Y5 pupils to go to the Hancock Museum on Wednesday 11th May 2016. Pupils will examine the Greek Artefacts and will be taking part in a workshop called ‘Greek Fighting Forces’ as part of the term’s Topic all about the Ancient Greeks.


Two classes win Class of the Month!

For the first time, two classes have won Mrs. Gargan’s Class of the Month Award. Y5 and Y4 have impressed our head teacher so much in February that she awarded them both with the prize. It is the second time Y5 have received the award. Well done to all of the pupils in Y5 and Y4!


Mrs Franchi is a Winner!!!

As always at this time of year we have our staff Christmas dress up challenge. The staff are encouraged to dress in any form of Christmas attire that they desire. The children then vote on their favourite costume. As always the competition was fierce especially with the chance of winning a fantastic Lego prize. Christmas Lunch

The children and staff enjoyed their annual Christmas lunch yesterday. The staff, as usual, served the children their Christmas lunch. All the children enjoyed the festive fare and they all sang along to the Christmas songs while they ate. Many thanks to the kitchen staff for a great spread once again.


Special Visitor Comes to school.

We had a very special visitor in school today. We were all surprised when Pudsey Bear knocked on the door during Assembly. He had come all the way from London to bring a letter to say thank you for the money we raised when we dressed as super heroes. Football Team Success

Our football team entered into the latest SSP Football League. The team was a mix of Year 6 and Year 5 pupils. It was a tough league but the players did themselves proud. We played six games over a period of weeks in a league format. We eventually, after some great performances from everyone on the team, achieved second place. Well done to all

Harvest Festival Collections

Our Harvest Festival donations are growing. The food is being collected for the local food bank to help families in need. It will be donated to them after our KS1 Harvest Performance. Thank you to everyone who has donated so far. It’s not too late if you would still like to donate any tins or dry food. Thank you.
