Trees Planted on the Field

IMG_0464Today saw Gail, our school gardener, along with some of her colleagues, digging up part of our school field, to plants some trees.

The pupils have been very curious about this, but there is a very simple answer. We have had them planted to provide natural shelter from the sun in the Summer, so we can sit outside and not swelter in the blazing heat! (ever the optimist!) We had been considering putting in a steel sun shade shelter, but we decided, as a ‘green’ school, we would like something more natural.
